Suddenly I cry every time it rains
It wasn’t always this way
Just since you went away

At your bedside, you’d ask me for a song
Of course, I went along
Song after song

And it changed the way I see myself
And raised some questions I can’t answer
About legacy and my mental health
“Will I always be a fountain… a fountain filling up?”

Little things I’ll remember:
You were always polite
A little “Yippee!” out of nowhere
Always saving room for pie
You gave honest advice
Brought me root beer for the ride
Oh man, the looks on their faces
When you busted out a slide!
